The goals of this workshop are:
1) Introduce the audience to the FAIR principles for data management and
2) get practical experience with a series of hands-on exercises to work with data in a robust, reliable and replicable manner.
In the first part, we will look into a broad introduction to the FAIR principles. This section serves as a general guidance into Part II, which is more practical.
We will look into persistent identifiers, standard access protocols, machine-readable vs human-readable data, open licences, data formats.
